Being an activist is so much more than protests and blockading. Going to your local farmers market is also a form of activism if you ask surfer Dave Rastovich from Byron Bay. One of the founders of Surfers for Cetaceans. An organisation that want to activate people to protect the marine life, especially whales and dolphins.

He is talking to The Echo in an interview why local activism is so important and how your caring and good will can be expressed both personally and politically.
